Goins said the Echoworx cloud proved to be a particularly elegant solution compared with other options that NitroDesk could have chosen. For instance, he pointed out that some security companies have systems whereby the certificate is loaded on an encrypted SD card that has to be inserted into the device. “You have to have physical control of the device… and you can’t remotely revoke or update the certificate if you move across domains.”
“The neat thing about the Echoworx solution is it’s over the air. We have the ability to remotely manage that through the cloud infrastructure, pretty much anywhere in the world.”
NitroDesk is the first Echoworx Security Cloud user, Gulri said. “We’re talking to a number of single sign-on companies where our credential management fits in, and we’re talking to some payment companies… Over the next few weeks you’re going to be seeing a lot more announcements from us in terms of integration.”
